Cozy wooden cabin right by Venjansjön (Venjan lake) in Dalarna, Sweden. Placed in a peaceful area with a variety of activities around and lots to choose from of hikes.
The cabin itself is about 50 square meters big and consists of a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom and a loft. It is heated with electricity and a fireplace.
Six beds divided on two beds in bedrooms, two beds in connection with the kitchen ( bunk beds, of which one is 120 cm wide, look at photo) and two beds on the open loft. There is a WC, shower, TV and two fireplaces.
It has got a well equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven with electric heaters, electric kettle, toaster and a coffee brewer.
The porch has got a beautiful view of the Venjan lake and it has got outdoor furniture with space for many people. A grill is accessible. There is also possibilities for grilling down at the boat house where there is also outdoor furniture to use.
Free use of rowing boat, canoe and life jackets. Wood (for fire) is included.
Dogs are welcome, but you will have to bring a bed or a crate for them since they are not allowed in the furniture.
Good opportunities for bathing and swimming in the lake down by the boat house (80 meters) or an even more family friendly place to go for a swim 200 meters down the road.
The cabin is a wonderful place for nature enthusiasts and berry pickers. Ski trails is available in the surrounding area.
Not far from the cabin is the town of Mora, with its enjoyable main street full of cafés and shops. In Mora you can also find the Zorn art museum and the Vasalopp museum (a traditional annual cross country skiing race held between Sälen and Mora). Among the other attractions nearby there is: gokarting (http://www.racingevents.se/default.asp?PageID=2), Gesunda ski slopes, Tomteland at Sollerön (santaworld.se), the Vasalopp trail, Orsa bear park (http://www.orsabjornpark.se/), rail tricycles, concerts in Dalhalla (http://www.dalhalla.se/), old pastures (still running), Sälen alpine area (http://www.skistar.com/en/Salen/About-Salen/), Classic car festival in Rättvik, put-and-take-fishing and much more.
