Lakeside log cabin, close to Vimmerby
This newly constructed, traditional log cabin, built entirely of locally sourced timbers is available to rent. The cabin is situated in a beautiful location directly on lake ”Möckeln” – approx. 20km southeast of Vimmerby and close to the small town of Tuna.
The cabin occupies an area of 70 m square comprising a kitchen/dining area, lounge, a master bedroom with double bed, a junior bedroom, a little small room, and a large loft room over half the cabin available for additional sleeping accommodation.
The cabin is non smoking and we do not allow pets.
Bed linen is not provide although there are extra blankets and pillows.
Guests take full responsibilty for cleaning the cabin and returning it to the condition in which they found it on arrival.
Heating for both the cabin itself and cooking is provided by a wood fired stove and a cast iron range (logs are provided). There is a fridge and upright freezer. There is no freshwater supply directly to the cabin, so we provide several cannisters of drinking water – lakewater can be used for washing purposes. There is a single 220 V in the cabin with a 4-way trailing socket.
The toilet is in a seperate outhouse 30 metres from the cabin.
We provide a barbeque for outdoor cooking (charcoal not included?) as it is not permitted to light fires in the woods surrounding the property.
Own bathing platform. Rowboat + 600SEK/week
This property provides a unique opportunity to stay in a tranquil location with immediate access to the surrounding woodland. Engaging and peaceful walks are garanteed anytime with berries and mushrooms available during their season. If you are visiting the area during the hunting season then the cabin provides an ideal base for hunting trips in the area.
