Holiday house which has a history from the 17th century with a beautiful view of the shimmering river Österdalaälven, and the only trafficked floating bridge in Sweden.

The house is located in a lovely village in a secluded area next to Kyrkbyn and facing south. Closest neighbour is Gagnefs Minnestuga with uninhabited chalets and log cabins from the 16th century.

Gagnef church village is classic Swedish Dala-style with a great deal of history around the corner.

House is in an older, cosy, comfortable style on two floors with four rooms and a basement. On the upper floor theres one bedroom with 2 beds and an office space with 1 bed and a middle room where its possible to put up two beds. Balcony for 4 people with stunning view. On the lower floor theres living room and kitchen. Garden shed with two beds and access to heating on the large natural garden with a lawn thats 5000 sq m and flowers.

The house has colour-tv and access to VHS and DVD,
kitchen equipment as large fridge and stove with oven and access to food processor, mixer, electric egg-boiler, cheese-fondue set, raclette grill, electric orange-juicer, micro, knifesharpener, affle-maker and more.

Hot and cold water available and 2 bathrooms: one in the basement and one on the upper floor. On the upper floor theres also a shower and access to washing machine.

Large open fireplace and a smaller open fireplace on the upper floor.

ADDITION-AUTUMN
Imagine when autumn arrives and the cold is setting in and youre enjoying a warm toddy in front of the open fireplace, after which you enjoy a raclette dinner and then fall asleep in the fragrance of the cottage for a long nights beauty sleep under the duvet.

WINTER
The winter is a wonderful time of the year, usually with plenty of snow. The snow cover of mountains and valleys is a beautiful sight - the view from the cottage is enormous! You can easily start a ski-tour from outside the front door. Sometimes there are trails made by a place called Ängsholm and also by the church. They are about 7 km each. By the club-cottage about 1 km away you also find lighted trails of various lengths.

SPRING
Springtime usually brings warmer weather but still snow, perfect for the springtime-holidays.
Its a beautiful time, the light is bright and the air is dry. The days can be warm in the sun and the temperature differences can be great; up to +20 degrees daytime and -20 degrees at night. Theres a café at the floating bridge about 500 m away or just 200 m straight down from the cottage - depending on which path you wish to take. Its a place thats often visited in the spring and summertime.

SUMMER
In the summer Dalarna invites the tourists from all around the world and it is then that all sorts of activities flourish. Swimming areas are all over the place and during the whole summer you are given free Flottbro-evenings which is musical entertainment that the interest club in Gagnef organizes. The place has the only floating bridge in Sweden that allows traffic and you can see it from the cottage. The volume is not too loud and the entertainment is normally held on Wednesdays between 19-21.00 and targets a mature audience. The programme is usually presented at Gagnef Interest clubs Facebook page or on the homepage or the tourist bureau.

Best of all is that you can pick as many berries as you like from the trees and bushes in the garden. Wild raspberries are plentiful, about 50 liters! Munch on them and have a lovely summer from the landlords Håkan
