Welcome to our cozy log cabin overlooking
lake Gapern, approximately 20km north of Karlstad.

There are several outdoor areas, including a porch with hanging chairs and lake view, and a patio with a grill, so you can enjoy sun or shade outdoors all day long.

We share a private dock with a few neighbors - it’s a few minutes’ stroll along the meadow, so it’s easy to go for a dip whenever you feel like it. We have three SUP boards to borrow. There is a public beach elsewhere on the same lake, so the water quality is tested frequently and it is most often excellent.

The neighborhood is very quiet and close to nature. It’s mostly summer houses, so even calmer at other times of year. Depending on the time of year, there are blueberries, lingon berries, and mushrooms to pick.

The house has two bedrooms (each with a double bed), a living room with a new, clean-burning wood stove and dining table, modern kitchen with dishwasher, newly renovated tiled bathroom with custom bathtub, floor heating, and laundry. We have fiber (fast) internet and wifi.

There is also a 16 m2 guest cabin in the yard, which has a double bed, small fridge, and table. We have 2 Indian mattresses that are good for children to sleep on the floor, or for adults who like a firm bed.

Parking for two, perhaps more, cars and a charging pole for electric cars (type 2). The regional bus stops a short walk away, with 2-3 departures per hour on weekdays. It’s takes about 20 minutes to get into Karlstad.

Directions
From highway 63, turn off at the yellow sign for Svedenäs, about 15km north of Karlstad. Follow the road as it curves left. You’ll see the mailboxes on your right. Then take the second right and the house is straight ahead of you.
