SUN & SWIMMING on countless chalk-white, child-friendly sandy beaches from Åhus to Ystad (nearest beach in Juleboda approx. 10 min). Gyllebosjön (30min) is popular when the sea is cool. Or go to water and the Tosselilla playland (25 min) which is suitable for both young and old.

WELCOME TO LILLEHEM….

Lillehem is located 5 minutes from the charming village of Maglehem, the gateway to Österlen. Here you live peacefully in a rural environment while being close to beaches and popular excursion destinations.

NEAR THE ROLLING HILLS near the Drakamöllan nature reserve is our country house. On quiet evenings you can hear the babbling of the Hörrödsån, which meanders through Lillehems pastures and magical deciduous forests.

WONDERFUL GREEN PLOT of 6000m2. Large garden with lawn, flower meadows, lavender, roses, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries. Framed by oaks, beeches, birches, maples, willows, hazel bushes & cherry trees. The plot is bounded by an old cairn with a view of forest, pastures and an orchard.

THE CHILDREN LOVE TO PLAY on the large plot. The little ones have their own corner with a playhouse, swings, slide & trampoline. There is also a ping-pong table and a large football field. The children often invite the adults to play. Let everyone gather for some round table tennis, a football match or hide and seek.
In our park there is an activity area with climbing ropes, rings, jumping poles and a large play castle.

IN OUR OWN FOREST PARK you get close to nature. Wander around the paths and see whats in bloom. Listen to the chirping of the birds while you look for wild berries. Settle down in the parks clearing and enjoy the best cup of coffee of the day.

BEAUTIFUL WALKS can be taken directly from the cottage. Near the country house there is a beech forest with a small stream which is usually nice to play in and around the strawberry patch with raspberries, blackberries and cherries.

GATHER AROUND THE FIRE at our barbecue area. The overturned birch was perfect to sit on while grilling sausages & marshmallows. There is also a ball grill & brick grill over by the outdoor kitchen.

TREAT YOURSELF TO A WONDERFUL SPA BATH in the always-heated hot tub/hot tub/jacuzzi (6-8 people)
Great both as a cooling bath during the day, or steaming hot at a later hour.

TAKE A COLD DRINK IN THE SAUNA, which is nestled in the greenery of the park.
Then fall asleep wonderfully warm and relaxed.
During April-October there is an outdoor shower.

ENJOY THE SUN & THE VIEW wherever you settle down.
The old well has been transformed into a nice coffee shop.
The bench under the old oaks offers shade and a beautiful view of the summer meadow, perfect for morning coffee or an evening drink.
All around there are several nice places to settle down for some peace and quiet...

WELCOME TO OUR HOME......

AT THE BEGINNING OF THE 20TH CENTURY, the original small house was built for a single bachelor. He named the house Lillehus. Over 100 years later, a lot has happened. The house got bigger and bigger. A large farm building was built. The house and farm building were built together. The small house was no longer so small. Our family has owned the house since 2017 and has for several years carefully renovated it in the original country style. We have kept the old name of the house. Welcome to our home in Lillehus.

THE LARGE COUNTRY KITCHEN is the heart of the Country House. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, microwave, 2 large fridge/freezers, coffee maker, kettle, mixer, generous work surfaces, dishwasher & kitchen utensils. Cook the holiday meal together and sit down at the spacious dining area with room for approx. 16 people.

THE KITCHEN OPENS TOWARDS THE VERANDA, which has a lounge corner and a spacious dining area for approx. 16 people.
The roof provides cool shade and protects against any summer rain.

COOK MAGICAL MEALS under the open sky in the outdoor kitchen that is adjacent to the veranda.
The outdoor kitchen has hot water, generous work surfaces, ball grill, brick grill and a wonderful view out to the summer meadows.

BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS & RELAXATION can be had in the two lounges. Socialize and relax in one of the two cozy corners. Large comfortable sofas & armchairs are perfect for having a glass of wine, watching TV and playing board games.

PLAY A BIT OF BILLIARDS, play the old piano or play a game of chess. Borrow a book in the small library and relax in the reading chair where you can enjoy the best view in the house. There is a high cozy factor when the fire burns in the stove late in the evening.

EXPERIENCE THE MAGICAL WORLD OF FILM in our home theater with projector.
Sink into comfortable cinema armchairs and fix your eyes on the white screen.
The sofa corner next to the kitchen has a 55 inch TV with HDMI socket on the front if you have your own devices with you. We stream all TV via Apple TV.
You have access to Svt, Barnkanalen, Tv4, HBO, Netflix and our own collection of films.

There are 3 smaller fold-out mattresses (most suitable for children) that can be placed anywhere in the house.
We also have 2 travel cots that can be borrowed if you have smaller children with you.

OUR PETS

We have a short haired cat called Oscar.
If you rent in the summer (June-August), he is not at home. Then he accompanies us to another accommodation. The rest of the year he is mostly at home.
Oscar has access to the laundry room via the cat flap.
We have 2 cat flaps.
The first goes from the back of the house into the laundry room.
The other goes between the laundry room and the hall.
We will close the hatch between the laundry room and the hall.
So the cat will only be able to stay in the laundry room.
Oscar is there to eat and otherwise he mostly stays outdoors.
We will stock up on dry food and water so that he always has food..

There are some beehives on our property. Bees are very calm and are not attracted to sweets like wasps are. We ourselves have 2 boys aged 9/11. They or their friends have never been stung.
We have costumes that you can borrow if you want to take a closer look. The huts stand on a part of the plot that is overgrown with blackberry thickets. To get into the hives, you have to open a small gate.
