Description
Do you want to disconnect yourselves from all the everyday musts, to do lists, social media and likes? Then this place is perfect for you! With few modernity, you can really take care of yourself, your body and your soul.

Wake up to birds chirping and enjoy a cup of coffee with a magical view of the lake. Then follow your own ritual by waking up your body with a dip in the warm and clean water, a little swim around or get some energy with a boat ride. You can spend the days the way you want: sunbathing, cycling, exercising, rowing, fishing, exploring the forest, reading or just being... dolce far niente!

The cottage is a peaceful place, has a simple but tasteful elegant standard and consists of the main cabin, a small bedroom, dining room in glass veranda and a pantry.

The cabin is built as an open plan where you can sleep, hang out, prepare food, etc.
It is decorated with Japanese influences, has sleep places for up to 3 people in comfortable new futon sofa beds (Japanese bed: futon mattress on tatami mat). Here there is a coffee table, an Asian cabinet and fully equipped kitchenette with necessary utensils for cooking simple dishes on a gas-powered stove.
- In the small bedroom separated by a curtain, there is place for 2 more people to sleep well (one in the futon sofa bed and the other in the bunk bed).
- Bright and fresh dining veranda faces the lake and provides space for at least 4 people to eat.
- Underground storage compartment with is suitable for storing cool food and drinks.
- In case of rain or chili evenings, you can light the stove and listen to the raindrops.

- Outside the cabin, there is a large, spacious terrace facing south where you can enjoy the sun and lake panorama in all directions from early morning to late evening. Here you can find a garden table carved in solid oak 2 benches, 2 fatboys and 2 smaller poufs for children; grill is available.

As this is a secluded place with few modernity, running water, sewage and electricity are missing, but some solutions are still available. There is no bathroom, but a modern incinerator toilet is located in the outside toilet room.

Fresh water tank of 20 L inside the cabin will be filled with drinking water on arrival. Drinking water is then collected at tap points, for example in Lilla Edet, where there are also smaller shops of all kind, pharmacies, ATMs, etc. The lake water is pumped up onto the terrace and can be used for everything except drinking if not boiled. Ecological products are offered for washing dishes, bathing in the lake and cleaning before check-out.

If you have a kayak or a SUP with you, you can put it below the cabin. Bathing is best done from the jetty outside the cottage.

The cabins comfort and amenities are continuously updated.

In autumn, you can pick the gold of the forest, i.e., chanterelles, which are plentiful in the area in addition to lots of berries.
In winter, the lake is transformed into a huge skating rink with full activity.

It is difficult to put into words the feelings that occurs in this place, but the synonym for wonderful is many. Welcome to Hotell Fridfullt, a place with history!

Rental usually takes place weekly, Saturday to Saturday, but other options can exceptionally be discussed.

You bring bed sheets and towels with you but these can be rented if necessary for SEK 200 per person.
- As the cabin is rented out entirety, it is extra important to take care of it and its furnishings/assets with care.
It must be left cleaned and in the same condition as it was found.
- Tenants bring back with them the rubbish from the cottage.
- Please note that the cottage is only rented to nature-interested, calm, and well-mannered people who are looking for a calm and relaxing experience!
- Nearest points such as: gas station, grocery store, pharmacy, etc. are within 12 km distance.
- You can easily get there by your own car.

Attractions in the area:
- Svartedalen nature reserve is one of southwest Swedens largest contiguous forest and wilderness areas and is also classified as having a particularly high nature value within the EU.
- Experience the castle environment during a lunch or dinner at Thorskogs Slott, which also offers conference facilities.
- Feel free to go on various day trips and visit Bohusläns beautiful west coast.
- Stenungsund is the gateway to Tjörn and Orust islands, which can also be experienced during the day.
- For those interested in horse riding, there are several opportunities in the immediate area.
