Description
Övre Lillviken is a quiet side road off the Vildmarksvägen.
It offers a stunning view of the valley and lake. In the vast and peaceful forests, you can relax and enjoy nature. The area is home to abundant wildlife, and youre never far from encountering one of the following:
Bear (the densest population in Europe, but they are very shy and difficult to spot)
Lynx, Wolverine, Red Fox, Marten, Otter, Weasel, Reindeer, Roe Deer
Hare, Beaver, Grouse (Capercaillie, Black Grouse, Ptarmigan, Hazel Grouse)
Fishing permits for Flåsjöns FVOF can be purchased from us on-site.
The permit covers the entire 11,000-hectare Flåsjön area, including inflows, smaller lakes, and ponds with stocked trout (subject to specific regulations).
Ice fishing during early spring (February – April) is an experience we highly recommend. Ice augers and other equipment can be rented from us.
The house offers great space for a couple or family. There are three separate bedrooms, each with single beds.
When you step outside the door, you immediately enter a beautiful natural landscape with fantastic opportunities for wilderness adventures such as fishing, hiking, or hunting. Its also perfect for those who simply want to feel the peace and harmony of nature. In winter, you can enjoy the beautiful Northern Lights.
Vildmarksvägen from Strömsund to Västerbotten via the mountains of Stekkenjokk offers over 300 km of fantastic cycling on asphalt.
For those who prefer off-road cycling, there are hundreds of kilometers of smaller roads.
Along the Vildmarksvägen, there are many well-marked hiking trails both in the forest and up to the mountains. Maps are available at local tourist information centers.
The surrounding area has several hundred kilometers of well-maintained and marked snowmobile trails. Snowmobiles and equipment can be rented from local companies.
Directions
From Strömsund, take road 342 towards Gaddede. Drive for 50 km. After Gubbhögen, turn left towards Ätervinningcentrale, then follow signs to Övre Lillviken Ringvattnet. After 50 meters (gravel road), turn right, and youll find Lillviken B&B (after 2 km) on the right at number 160.
From Gaddede, take road 342 towards Strömsund. After 80 km, turn right towards Övre Lillviken (gravel road). After 3 km, youll find us on the left side of the road at number 160.
