Description
Our cottage for vacation rentals is perfect for some relaxing time with family or friends (up to 5 people). It has no direct neighbours and is the last house on the road, so no passing traffic. The forest begins just at the back of the house and the sea is only 350 meters away.
The house is about 55 square meters large. It has two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen for self catering and a big living/dining room. the first bedroom has a double bed. The second bedroom has a bunk bed and possibility of adding an extra bed.
The bathroom is rather simplistic – for environmental protection reasons there is no water closet but instead a modern composting toilet of the indoor type. No indoor shower or bath, but possibility to shower outdoors (water heated by the sun).
The cottage is found at the outskirt of the village Norrskedika gruvor, the Norrskedika mines. This is an old iron mining location, you can still see the old entries to the mines in what is now the cow pasture. Local town Östhammar with shops and restaurants is only 10 minutes away by car; summer paradise Öregrund and the ferry to Gräsö only 15 minutes. The family friendly sandy beach is just a short bikeride away.
You enjoy flea markets? Then Norrskedika is the area for you! The forest offers possibility for long walks in beautiful surroundings, or you can go visit one of the many historical sites along the coast, for example Forsmark Bruk. We have kayaks for rent and a morning swim in the sea is a great way to start every day.
And of course – pets are most welcome in our cottage!
